a (very) tiny BitTorrent client

Project Falcon

Project Falcon

The Falcon project introduces two important advances into µTorrent: on-demand streaming of popular streamable content and secure web-access to your µTorrent client.

On-Demand Streaming

Downloading with BitTorrent is so effective partly because of the way in which files are downloaded in many pieces and in a random order. If you want to stream a file - that is, start to watch it while it is still downloading - we need to do some magic to enable a few pieces to be downloaded in-order and sent to the player, but the majority of the pieces to continue to be downloaded randomly to preserve the incredible efficiency of BitTorrent. The Falcon project aims to achieve this in any popular BitTorrent swarm without the use of any special servers or file or codec types. The goal is to turn BitTorrent into a point-click-watch experience much more similar to YouTube.

Secure Web-Access

provides a secure and simple web service to allow users to manage their torrent clients from anywhere on the internet.

The service is designed with privacy in mind. This means that you can be certain that there is no personal information about your BitTorrent usage that is ever exposed to us or anyone else. For us it means that our web services can be managed more cost effectively while still providing a high degree of security.
